Founded in 1890, York Golf Club is the third-oldest club in Yorkshire and is recognised as one of the finest in the area. Often described as a true hidden gem, York Golf Club will hold you in great anticipation from standing on the first tee until playing one of the best closing stretches in the north of England.
Designed by 5 time Open Champion J H Taylor (one of the great golfing triumvirate of Open Champions / Course Designers alongside Harry Vardon & James Braid), the club boasts a fantastic history and the heathland course is a challenge to the most skilful of players but still offers a thoroughly enjoyable experience to golfers of all abilities.

The Clubhouse
Our extensively refurbished clubhouse complements the excellent reputation of our course and provides a bright contemporary welcoming area for members and visitors to enjoy refreshments and meals before and after play.
