If you haven’t seen the golf world blow up the past two days, you need to refresh your social media feeds and come out from hibernation. There isn’t a golf fan alive who hasn’t heard of the incredible new launch from Callaway this January- A.I created Mavrik Drivers.
Callaway says their “New models are more optimised to player traits than ever before”. The new Cyclone Aero shape driver designs have never been trialled before; however, they do include Jailbreak bars and a lighter carbon crown, which have both been known to be used in previous irons.
Let’s get down to it. Introducing three incredible new models all equipped and built with breakthrough technology. Callaway are paving the way in innovation by using artificial intelligence (A.I) and machine learning to develop next-level distance in their irons.
The three different driver models are; Mavrik Standard, Mavrik Max and Mavrik Sub Zero. The drivers have a new cyclone aero shape for reduced drag and feature a titanium which is 6grams lighter than usual club titanium. This promotes and optimises speed, forgiveness and spin robustness for a consistently perfect performance.

Usually, a low-spin driver with a high swing speed has to compromise on forgiveness, but this is where Callaway designers have separated the brand from the masses, by developing a driver that has turned down spin variation, giving a higher MOI. If you’re using the Epic Flash, you may be disappointed to know that the Mavrik reduces drag by 61% over that particular driver- May it be time for a swap?
As said before, the drivers have two jailbreak bars which connect the sole and crown, which in return; enhance the overall ball speed. The lighter carbon crown allows the weight to be redistributed for a higher MOI.

The sleek, slim drivers with premium grips are the latest in golf technology, but what’s the difference?
